The French export team is inviting for a day of networking and exploration into a new economic region, with the people who build business bridges between neighboring countries.

The CLMV countries and Thailand are at the heart of 2 major international economic endeavors: the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). They further drive a local development plan around the Mekong river (GMS). Thailand has 28% of the region’s population, but 56% of its GDP and as its economy matures, the main actors are now looking for new playing fields.

.

Meet the people behind this expansion, as the CLMV share of Thai exports has jumped from 3% in 2000 to over 10% nowadays. Companies considering expansion can meet the executives who have already ventured out of Thailand to set up businesses there. Those supplying Thai companies in Thailand need to understand their development and profit from it ! Those based in CLMV countries can learn how Thai businesses plan to develop a local network of suppliers and service providers.

.

Eric Durand, President of the Thailand Chapter of the French Foreign Advisers, said: “We are very pleased to have such high-level speakers and panelists to shed some light on new dynamics as they happen in the region. There are definitely many opportunities that will arise from the contacts initiated during this event.”

“When French icons such as Michelin, Airbus, BNP Paribas, Bolloré Technologies, Accor Hotels, L’Oréal, Essilor, Schneider Electric, meet Thai giants such as CP Group, Siam Cement Group, Central, or Amata, under the watchful eye of the SET, the BOI, Exim Bank, the ADB, and the French Embassies in the region, you know that something great is bound to happen”, Eric Durand added, “and many smaller companies, Thai and French, in Thailand and in the region, will benefit from these new opportunities”.

.

A full day to scroll down from macro-economics to hands-on advice on new business in the CLMV countries, and plenty of networking opportunities with experts already working in those markets!

The French CCEs are a world-wide network of 4,000 business leaders and experts in international business, selected for their competence. They share their experience and engage in concrete initiatives, on a voluntary basis. They contribute by their advice, support and opinion on international trade issues and specific markets.
